There is no doubt that social media has had great influence on the lives of people in this generation. People want to stay constantly informed about the latest news. Are sports, new technology, politics, gossip, or public affairs. Social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Google+ have broken barriers of space and time, allowing us to interact with more people through the smartphones every moment, anywhere on the planet. Social media has become deeply rooted in our society and it is difficult to get rid of our technological desires. However, like any revolutionary concept that technology has to offer, he created a new set of barriers and threats.

Social networks, like Facebook for example, were created with the single purpose of helping people communicate. There are many other reasons that these technologies are used, but the communication is still number one. Many people use these networks to talk to their friends in other cities, states or even other countries. There are many situations that do not allow the use of telephones. This is why many prefer social networking. These networks not only allow communication between friends, but also allow you to meet new people. Similarities and mutual friends can create new groups of relationship. This allows an expansion of the social circle. Becoming the modern way to make friends. These new friends communicate through these networks. However, the communication pattern is not the only way that this social technology is used. On these sites, users typically create pages that represent them in any way. They post photos and videos of themselves and their friends. His friends comment on these photos. This concept seems simple enough, but its use is very different depending on the age of the user.

A disadvantage is that social networks is the lack of communication between people in real life. Social media have raised the possibility of misinterpretation. We know that only part of the communication is based on verbal or written word, and a large part is based on non-verbal body language. Thus, social media affect our ability to capture the body language, which allows a misinterpretation. Another disadvantage that social networks have is cyber-bullying. With the increase in technology, teens are vulnerable to the practice of Cyber-Bullying. With so many teens who use social networks, it has become easier to reach one another. Cyber-Bullying is a form of bullying that is only done through the web and other technologies. Social networks make it worse for the victims. Bullying is difficult in person and even tougher over the internet. When the cruel comments are posted in an individual page, anyone can see them. However, the networks no one is there to witness the attack. This makes it harder for a victim to get help. The bully has an easier job insulting the other, because there is no threat of being caught by an adult. These types of social attacks are harmful. All types of bullying are wrong, although Cyber-Bullying can be the worst yet. The victims are vulnerable and online insults made towards them is deadly because computers mask faces.

In conclusion, social networks have become increasingly common in the lives of people in this generation. Social media provides a faster way of communication, and makes it easier to connect with people around the globe. However, social media also cause a decrease in physical social relationships and increase cyber-bullying among young
