In an overview, we must first realize that the refrigerator takes heat from its interior (freezer) through a cooling coil and releases its heat to the outside. The system consists of a compressor, an expansion valve, an evaporator and a condenser. The process is only possible due to the refrigerant (eg Freon R12, R134A, etc.), which has the characteristic of heat when stealing condensate and releases heat when it evaporates.
The refrigerant passes through a compressor where it undergoes an increase in its pressure, passing a state conducive to condense. The condensate passes through the condenser coil (hot coils on the back of the fridge), which releases heat into the atmosphere, cooling it and moving on to the liquid state.
The condensate passes through an expansion valve that is the inverse function of the compressor. It reduces the pressure going into a state conducive to evaporate.
The refrigerant gas is then led to evaporator coil inside the refrigerator (more specifically in the freezer), which robs heat, heats and and passes into the gaseous state. The gas then passes through the compressor, repeating the whole cycle.
A new refrigerator is actuated open (temperature inside and outside the refrigerator
