Communicative Writing 2 – Writing about your childhood

My childhood

My name is Claudia and I was born in 1983. I always had good memories in my life, especially of my childhood. In spite of my mother have been surprised with her pregnancy, she was delighted to hear of my arrival. I remember that  when I was a young child, my mom used to read to me at bedtime, as well as she used to do with my other two sisters. My father used wake me up early every morning, after that, he used to take me to my school. On weekends, he used to take us to visit our cousins.

I had a lot of toys, however, my favorite toy was doll.  I used to make clothes for dolls, my grandmother who taught me, she was very nice to me. Moreover, I used to play with my friends at school and in the street. We used to play hide-and-seek, hopscotch, ride a bike and volleyball.

 When I was a young child I would love to hear my parents tell me that we were going on a trip. I would be full of excitement, because I knew that we would be going to a place that I had never seen before. My parents, my sisters, and I would pack our luggage and venture out in our older car. One of my most cherished memories in our old car are when we went to the beach for the first time, I was so excited owing to  this reason.

However, I had a dog, called Suzy. It died when I was ten years, on account of it I cried a lot. In spite of this, I had an amazing childhood. It was a happy time of my life.
