Ability to solicit, negotiate and secure new accounts as well as maintain
current client relationships within your respective markets through a series of
outside sales calls, telephone solicitation and research.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required including
preparation of proposals and rate agreements in a timely fashion.
• Determine and solicit prospective customers from market information.
• Maintain accurate records of customers with prompt follow up on all potential
business.
• Demonstrate strong negotiation skills in working out contractual agreements
with potential clients - quote and negotiate prices within established
parameters.
• Conduct site inspections and client visits, participate in FAM’s, and industry
trade shows and assigned association memberships.
• Collect market and competitive intelligence to assess and implement strategy
and long term goals.
• Maintain personal contact with negotiated accounts through regular sales calls
to facilitate client comfort and relationship.
• Keep corporate client database up to date with corporate rates, address,
contact information and booking statistics.
• Participation in site tours, FAMS, industry events, trade shows, sales blitzes
and client entertainment as required.
• Have a strong presence in the local market and be willing to work a flexible
schedule to meet the guest’s needs.
• Traveling and conducting effective business trips and appointments within
assigned markets (travel to sales market every 4-6 weeks required).
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
