Nigerian culture

Nigerian culture is made up of various ethnic groups, the country has more than 250 languages and cultures, the four ais known sound the Hausa-Fulani, which are prevalent in the north; Predominant in the southeast Igbo; The Yoruba in the southwest, and Benin in the west. 80% of the Yorubas are Christian, while 20% love orishas. Orishas worshipers are prevalent in the southeastern coast of Nigeria.

Nigeria is a country in West Africa, which mixes the way of life of the ancient inhabitants, with the lifestyle that the current society lives. In rural areas, the role of women did not suffer "changes" have occurred despite the change in society. Women do not have their own land and all inheritance will last from generation to generation only for men. The men do the work "heavy" while women take care of home and children, they can still perform work as making blankets and sweets to be sold. There is an ancient belief that having a very large family will ensure the next generation of kinship group. Talking about family, born babies are usually breastfed up to two years, and then begin to receive care of an older sister has one.

Nigerian literature

Nigeria has produced many writers, many have won honors powder their ability to write as well. Some of them were: Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka, Ken Saro-Wira, Cyprian Ekwensi, Buchi Emecheta, Elechi Amadi and Ben Okri. Writers of a younger generation loved by critics include: Chimamanda Adichie Ngzo, Francis Ohanyido, Sefi Atta, Helon Habila and Helen Oyeyemi.
