Every day, music is always around us, from the moment we wake up - in our alarm clocks – and follow us throughout the day – on our own cellphones, on the radio, on television, and even through the people around us.
Personally, I consider myself an eclectic person when it comes to music, the musical genres that I listen to, varies from moment to moment, according to my feelings.
My favourite music style is pop, like One Direction, Shawn Mendes, Katy Perry, Dua Lipa and Hasley.
My favourite singer certainly is Ed Sheeran, and that’s because his lyrics are really deep and about his feelings, like happiness, love, or even about sadness. And of course, I love the melody of all his songs. My favourite is “Perfect”, but I have to be fair, each song is unique and touching in its own way.
Music, besides being great to distract us and relax, also can help us when it comes to learning new languages, in other words, you can combine learning and leisure.… For example, if you really like a song in a language that you don’t understand, you can search for the translation, and this way, you will be able to learn the meaning of the words that you didn’t know before. You will be learning with the song’s help
The songs we like say a lot about who we are and about how we feel in that specific moment. And a really famous representation of the way music allow us to express ourselves, are the musicals, where the characters always sing about their feelings and dreams.
In conclusion, songs are part of our daily lives, they connect with our deepest emotions. They are part of who we are.
