RESUMO

As atividades marítimas estão entre as mais perigosas em termos de saúde e segurança. Trabalhar a bordo está sujeito a vários riscos. Se ocorrer um acidente durante a navegação ou durante a estadia dos navios em locais longe dos portos, os seus tripulantes não têm chance de recorrer imediatamente à especialista para a resolução de situações e auxiliar na redução das conseqüências. Além dos riscos inerentes ao desempenho das diversas atividades profissionais desempenhadas igualmente em terra, existem os riscos associados às condições específicas da agressividade do ambiente marinho. Embora o haja um quadro de ação para as atividades marítimas de alto risco, é claro que os resultados dos esforços podem aumentar as medidas de segurança que tem os principais riscos de acidentes marítimos, incluindo a imposição de regras internacionais mais adequados. Além disso, eles podem sofrer atos agressivos, tais como casos de terrorismo e pirataria, que potencializam o risco de segurança do trabalho. A indústria marítima é iminente e têm funções internacionais de regulamentação da segurança do trabalho que é basicamente a transposição para o direito nacional das convenções internacionais da Organização Marítima Internacional (IMO) e da Organização Internacional do Trabalho (OIT).

ABSTRACT

Maritime activities are among the most dangerous in terms of health and safety. Work on board is subject to various risks. If an accident occurs during shipping or during the stay of ships in places far from the port, its crew have no chance to appeal immediately to the expert for resolving situations and assist in the reduction of the consequences. In addition to the risks inherent in the performance of various professional activities also performed on land, there are risks associated with the specific conditions of the aggressiveness of the marine environment. Although there is a framework of action for maritime high-risk activities, it is clear that the results of efforts can increase the security measures that have the main risks of maritime accidents, including the imposition of appropriate international rules. In addition, they may suffer aggressive acts, such as piracy and terrorism cases, can increase risk of workplace safety. The maritime industry is imminent and has international safety regulatory functions of the job that is basically the transposition into national law of international conventions of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the International Labour Organization (ILO).
