On the mountain top , wide and flat , covered with underbrush , is a gazebo , from where one has ample view of cities Ouro Branco , Conselheiro Lafaiete and Congonhas , Lake Barragem do Soledagem, and a whole characteristic vegetation that comprise a set of great beauty .

It is endowed with good road and many trails that lead

several springs and beautiful waterfalls .

In the Serra do Ouro Branco part of the old Estrada Real,

coming from the " Caminho Novo " , opened by Garcia Rodrigues in the early years of the eighteenth century ,

to directly connect the " Coroa " to Minas de Ouro.

By Estrada Real, on foot or on horseback , tourists glimpsed natural beauty , bridges and ruins of the eighteenth and nineteenth century , and know places that depict important moments of the gold cycle

and Minas Gerais .

Abseiling in Serra de Ouro Branco

The Abseiling is a technique of descent originally used in caving, adapted to walls or waterfalls, using appropriate equipment such as static rope, helmet, harness, carabiner and brake equipment.

The Abseiling can be practiced by anyone with accompanying professional guides. It's a safe adventure and adrenaline.

The Serra do Ouro Branco with its cliffs and caves, is an excellent place to practice rappel.

Orchids of the Sierra

The Ouro Branco region, especially Serra do Ouro Branco is very rich in species of orchids, some very rare.

The only place in the world where the Orchid brevipendiculata Sophronitis is in this region.
