SANDY BAR SERVING ALCOHOL POLICY
COMPLIANCE
The Sandy Bar is committed to complying with all regulatory requirements in the responsible service of alcohol.
SCOPE
This policy relates to all staff.
RESPONSABILITIES
The Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all staff member are following the policies and procedures of serving alcohol. The staff will be responsible for following the company policies and procedures.
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
• All incidents of removing intoxicated patrons must recorded in the register which will be checked at the end of each shift.
• All incidents of minors trying to entry to the premises or buying alcohol must recorded in the register.
• All incidents of disorderly patrons at the premises must recorded in the register.
REVIEW DATES
This policy comes into effect on 30th May 2018 and will be reviewed six-monthly.
RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL
• All staff are RSA certified
• A register and copy of staff RSA certificates are kept with the manager
• Management support staff who practice and enforce RSA.
MINORS
• Minors are not permitted entry to the premises
• Minors will not be served alcohol
• All patrons are required to provide official evidence of age where there is any doubt they are under 18.
UNDULY INTOXICATED & DISORDERLY PATRONS
• All staff are trained in identifying signs of undue intoxication
• Unduly intoxicated patrons will not be alcohol served
• Unduly intoxicated patrons will be asked to leave the premises
• All staff actively monitor levels of undue intoxication of all patrons
• Management strive for meeting its duty of care obligations to all patrons
SECURITY
• A register and copy of current licenses of the security staff are kept by management
• The security staff will ask unduly intoxicated patrons to leave the premises if required
• The security staff act respectfully towards patrons at all times
STAFF TRAINING
• Management encourage staff to be trained efficiently and effectively for their job.
• Management ensure all staff are Responsible Service of Alcohol trained
• All staff have signed off and agree to work according to this published House Policy
• Regular meetings are held to ensure that the staff are kept informed of changes in the industry.
RESPONSIBLE HOSPITALITY PRACTICES
• We provide water either free or at a reasonable price to all patrons (for example, a glass of tap water should not cost more than a glass of soft drink)
• We encourage you to monitor and control your consumption of liquor
• We will prevent you from rapidly and excessively consuming liquor
