O Avanço Do Cancer

Resumo

O Serviço Social, há muito tempo, vem contribuindo com sua participação na construção do conhecimento do ser humano, bem como nas suas forma de relacionar-se socialmente e na resolução das questões sociais em áreas diversas. Uma das áreas que mais tem se destacado tem sido a área da saúde, pois está envolvido de forma mais direta com os mais diferentes problemas, tornando, assim, o maior campo da prática profissional. Diferente do que muitos pensam, o assistente social não é um psicólogo, mas está apto a enfrentar problemas com o objetivo de solucioná-los ou de torna-los o mais brando possível. Se tratando do câncer, uma doença grave que pode levar ao óbito em menos de seis meses depois de constatada a doença, o serviço social dá suporte ao paciente, bem como à família no que se refere à necessidades e acompanhamento do ramo psicológico. No entanto o avanço do câncer no Brasil tem deixado à questão ainda incipiente. O INCA, Instituto Nacional do Câncer, órgão do Ministério da Saúde responsável pela produção de conhecimento e formação de recursos humanos em Oncologia, deu início em 2000, o curso de Especialização em Serviço Social em Oncologia com o intuito de tirar as dúvidas a respeito do problema acima mencionado. Cumprindo um dos requisitos para a obtenção do título é a construção de um trabalho de conclusão de curso ((TCC). Trabalho este que está sendo produzido com o foco do papel do Serviço Social no avanço do Câncer no Brasil, uma vez que visa refletir sobre tal assunto, levando em consideração as causas para este avanço, possíveis paciente e a ajuda à eles dispensada.

Abstract

Social services , long ago, has been contributing its participation in the construction of knowledge of the human being , as well as their way of relating socially and resolution of social issues in several areas . One of the areas that has most prominent has been the area of health, as it is involved more directly with the most different problems , thus making the larger field of professional practice . Unlike what many think, the social worker is not a psychologist , but is able to face problems in order to solve them or makes them the mildest possible. When dealing with cancer , a serious disease that can lead to death in less than six months after the disease found , the social service supports the patient and family with regard to the needs and monitoring of psychological branch . However the advancement of cancer in Brazil has left the incipient question . INCA , National Cancer Institute , an agency of the Ministry of Health responsible for the production of knowledge and training of human resources Oncology , initiated in 2000 , the course of Specialization in Social Work in Oncology in order to dispel doubts about the aforementioned problem . Fulfilling one of the requirements for obtaining the title is the construction of a work of completion (TCC ). Labour this being produced with the focus of the role of social work in the advancement of cancer in Brazil as it aims to reflect on this issue , taking into consideration the causes for this breakthrough possible patient and help them to waived .
