Scope of Supply

• Energy efficient oil-free, water injected single screw compression element

High Output and Economy

The high output single stage compression element is direct driven by an IP55 drive motor. The direct drive arrangement ensures efficient power transmission with minimum losses.

The innovative compression element features a bronze single screw main rotor with a pair of meshing carbon fibre composite gate rotors. Compression takes place in two chambers on either side of the main rotor, as a result compression loads are balanced and bearing loads are significantly reduced.

Water injected into the twin compression chambers provides lubrication, sealing and cooling of the compression process; this results in near isothermal compression with a low temperature rise. The resulting plant air discharge temperature simplifies plant construction by removing the need for a final air cooler.

Drive System

Electronically controlled and monitored, high efficiency, inverter driven, regulated speed drive comprising of an inverter and motor.

The drive system starts with no current peaks and no heat is generated in the motor. As a result of no run on time or starts per hour limit is required. The starting current never exceeds the full load running current and the compressor can be started and stopped as many times as required.

Cooling and Ventilation

The air and water mixture discharges from the compression element into a stainless steel separator vessel where the water is separated by centrifugal action. The water then passes through a water cooler and 10-micron water filter before being injected into the compression chambers.

An air cooled extended surface water cooler and radial cooling fan combine efficient cooling of the injection water with a low noise level.

Oil Free Construction

The low bearing loads and operating temperatures inherent in the compression element enable maintenance free sealed grease lubricated bearings to be used totally eliminating the need for oil in the compressor.

Integrated Water Purification System

A reverse osmosis based water purification system, integrated inside the compressor enclosure, removes salts, minerals and metals from the incoming mains potable water supply and provides high quality injection water
