  1. COMPANY

Teksid represents one of the largest auto parts foundry groups in the world, with a production capacity of approximately 630 thousand tons per year.

The Group produces castings such as blocks, heads, brake discs and drums, axle ends, crankshafts, housings and components for automobiles and industrial vehicles.

Specializing in the foundry and machining of iron and aluminum castings, the group has factories in Portugal, Poland, Brazil, Mexico, Italy and China, as well as commercial offices in Germany and the United States.


  1. HOW IS THE PROCESS NOW?

Now days, at the Copy Center of Teksid, the user send the prints from their computers and after go there to get the copy. For this, they give a request, where are data from them, their cost center and the information about the copies, how many pages, the size and the type of paper.

There is a problem here, sometimes the user does not fill the request correctly and there is a re-work to correct this. Sometimes the personal data is not fill, the document information neither, or both. With this, the operator need to correct and the user do not see what have changed, in another words, there is not a transparency.

Another point is that the data cannot be analyzed, because all of that are at the paper.

Furthermore, for count the paper used, how many copies, we use an Excel sheet. It works, but need a rework once a month for the revenues.


  1. PROPOSING

Looking all points that ware said, the proposing is a software at Teksid’s Intranet. The software’s name is “SGR: Sistema de Gestão de Requisições”. There, user put their registration and the system complete that with the database. Probably, some users have their data wrong, and there is an option for them update.

After filling in their data, the user will have to fill in the information related to the file he sent, such as his identification, the paper used and its quantity.

After that, the requisition is sent to the operator, where he confirms that the order data and information are correct.

With this, all requests are stored on the server for analysis and treatment of the data present there, in order to improve user service and facilitate monthly billing.


  1. SCHEDULE TO IMPLEMENT

The first step in product development will be defining what it should do and deliver. With this information in hand, the features can be described.
