A ESCOLA COMO INSTRUMENTO NA PREVENÇÃO DA VIOLÊNCIA DE GÊNERO

RESUMO

O tema deste artigo recai sobre o papel da educação formal como ferramenta para a prevenção da prática de discriminações. Como delimitação temática, será estudada a forma pela qual a instrução escolar influencia na formação cultural identitária do sujeito e, consequentemente na prevenção à cultura da violência de gênero. Neste norte, o problema a ser enfrentado ampara-se no seguinte questionamento: Qual é o papel da escola no enfrentamento da cultura de violência? O objetivo geral da pesquisa é analisar as razões que explicam o surgimento dos padrões culturalmente dominantes relacionados à discriminação de gênero para que se possa encontrar uma maneira de prevenção de tal situação. A justificativa se dá pela necessidade da construção de uma sociedade mais autônoma e democrática, em conformidade com os preceitos dos Direitos Humanos, bem como com os Direitos Fundamentais da República Federativa do Brasil, capaz de conseguir dialogar para a construção da igualdade de gêneros. Em relação aos métodos, a pesquisa classifica-se como teórica e bibliográfica.

ABSTRACT

The theme of this paper is about the role of formal education as a tool to prevent the practice of discrimination. As a thematic delimitation, it will be studied the way in which school instruction influences the cultural identity of the subject and, consequently, in the prevention of the culture of gender violence. On this way, the problem to be faced is based on the following question: What is the role of the school in confronting the culture of violence? The general objective of the research is to analyze the reasons that explain the emergence of culturally dominant patterns related to gender discrimination in order to find a way to prevent such a situation. The justification is given for the need to build a more autonomous and democratic society, in accordance with the precepts of Human Rights, as well as with the Fundamental Rights of the Federative Republic of Brazil, capable of achieving dialogue for the construction of gender equality. In relation to the methods, the research is classified as theoretical and bibliographical.
