A PARALISIA CEREBRAL

RESUMO

A Paralisia Cerebral  acomete o encéfalo e prejudica diretamente o desenvolvimento motor da criança. Intervenções fisioterapêuticas podem minimizar ou até mesmo reverter padrões atípicos de movimento, promovendo assim melhor repertório funcional. Participaram deste estudo duas crianças: criança 1 com diparesia, sexo feminino (14 anos) e criança 2 com coreoatetose, sexo masculino (11 anos). Como instrumentos de avaliação utilizou-se as escalas Quality of Extremity Skills Test, a Gross Motor Function Measure e a Gross Motor Function Classification System, para detectar as necessidades de cada indivíduo, então seguiu-se um protocolo de 10 intervenções, com frequência semanal de uma vez por semana e duração de aproximadamente 60 minutos. As intervenções foram baseadas no Conceito Neuroevolutivo de Bobath e Psicomotricidade. A intervenção fisioterapêutica foi eficiente para manter o repertório motor e estimular a aprendizagem motora das crianças especialmente nas dimensões de ficar em pé, andar, correr e pular.

ABSTRACT

Cerebral Palsy (PC) affects the brain and impairs the development of the child's motor. Physiotherapeutic interventions can minimize or even reverse atypical patterns of movement, thus promoting a better functional repertoire. Two children participated in this study: child 1 with diparesia, female (14 years old) and child 2 with choreoathetosis, male (11 years old). Instrument of quality assessment such as test of extreme quality skills, gross motor function measurement and gross engine function classification system, to detect how each individual's needs, then followed a protocol of 10 interventions, with weekly frequency once a week and lasting approximately 60 minutes. As interventions were based on the Neuroevolutionary Concept of Bobath and Psychomotricity. A physiotherapeutic intervention was efficient to maintain the motor repertoire and to stimulate a motor learning of the children especially in the dimensions of standing, walking, running and publishing of the GMFM-88 for a child.
