WHY THEY CALL HIM LIKE THAT ?
The state is named like that for having in abundance, mines of various elements. But scholars assert that the adjective general was united to put into evidence the opposition between the private mines and non-private mines
The state is the second most populous in Brazil, with just over 20 million inhabitants. Its capital is the city of Belo Horizonte, which meets in its metropolitan area about five million inhabitants, thus being the 3rd largest agglomeration in the country.
The culinary of Minas Gerais has the largest assortment of cuisine in Brazil, the meat pork the more present and as main dish cheese bread, tutu beans, chicken with brown sauce, fudge and other delights.
The Sertanejo is predominant, but there is room for the pagode and current hits funk.
The typical dances are Caxambu and Mineiro de pau.
In Minas Gerais soccer teams have importance to the sport, in state scope, the Boa the Ipatinga, Tupi, Uberaba and Uberlândia, in addition to national champions Cruzeiro, Atletico, America and Villa Nova Atlético Clube.
The mineiros dressing according to the occasion, among the styles, the basic predominate, but when it comes to fashion, the privileged are always on top of what happens in the fashion world.
