Alcohol consumption

These days no longer escape the confrontation with teen alcohol and drugs. It is impossible.In my generation it was difficult to get along and all we have over forty yearsknow all too well the reality of friends that were lost or disrupted his life and much to their families because of the use and abuse of drugs or drinks.

 

Ten years from now the consumption of alcohol by teenagers shot and are worrying. In Portugal and the rest of Europe, indeed, where the habits of exits and evenings are very similar. Although drinking is still seen as natural and fits in a more or less festive night, in fact teenagers drink today brutality, often without realizing the amount  they are drinking. Not to mention the quality, as new generations do not  know how to appreciate good wine.

 

Interestingly  the  experts  who  have  dedicated  themselves  to  studying  this  subject

disturbing escalation of consumption, say most teenagers do not even like alcohol! Hence the lure brands with the most powerful new marketing campaigns and a plethora of sweetened drinks a lot of seductive colors, flavors and aromas of fruit varied but always mixed with a lot of vodka, tequila, beer, rum, etc.. All these drinks are a kind of 'junior brand' and are at the forefront of the betting of large companies that do not play in service are not innocent in this matter of alcohol abuse. It seems harmless and fun, almost all have high levels of alcohol are consumed without restriction for very young teenagers. More and more records alcoholic comas in casualty departments of hospitals and the worst is that many of those who drink excessively are only 12/14years.

 

Although not always like alcohol, adolescents, and especially the younger ones or those going through critical stages, or even those who live crisis of confidence drink tofeel integrated into the group to have the same 'wave' to feel 'cool'  and in many  cases, to be more uninhibited. Shyness is a classic teenage and hence the  compulsion to drink when  out at night and are (or want to be) in a group. Is there a studied under the influence of alcohol that the boys feel invincible and the girls feel irresistible.  Atremendous trap.

While some parents are still unaware of this reality of hyper-consumption in the evenings and others prefer to pretend that the children drink today as they drank in theirown time, is not true so be it. No alarm, but with knowledge that it is a troubling phenomenon, is worth tuning the criteria with our children, stay close (without beinginvasive, it is noted) and be more attentive to the signs at home. Why there are always signs.
