Aprendizagem e desenvolvimento nas fases do pensamento de Jerome Bruner

Resumo

Considerado o pai da psicologia cognitiva, Bruner se destaca pelo conjunto de sua obra, marcada pela clareza e profundidade com que explana seus conceitos. Tendo vivido mais de cem anos, contribuiu largamente para as investigações sobre o pensamento, desenvolvimento e aprendizagem, suas obras sendo consideradas revoluções do cognitivismo que se revelam paradigmáticas, instigando os pesquisadores da atualidade a darem seguimento a seus achados. Buscou-se neste texto trazer um apanhado sintético da concepção de aprendizagem e desenvolvimento cognitivo em seu pensamento, tanto para a fase cognitivista, marcada pelas investigações sobre a representação mental, quanto para a fase culturalista, orientada pela reflexão sobre os significados, evidenciando a importância das trocas interindividuais e da cultura para a construção da subjetividade, e do pensamento narrativo para a conformação da realidade social.

The cognition in revolution: Learning and development in the thought phases of Jerome Bruner

Abstract

Considered the father of cognitive psychology, Bruner stands out for the whole of his work, marked by the clarity and depth with which he explains his concepts. Having lived more than a hundred years, he has contributed extensively to research on thinking, development and learning, his works being considered revolutions of cognitivism that are paradigmatic, instigating current researchers to follow up on their findings. The aim of this article was to present a synthetic overview of the conception of cognitive development and learning in his thinking, both for the cognitive phase, marked by the investigations on mental representation, and for the culturalist phase, guided by the reflection on meanings, highlighting the importance of interindividual exchanges and of culture for the construction of subjectivity, and of narrative thinking for the conformation of social reality.
