Certamente as palavras que convidam para o uso do Present Perfect são:

SINCE – I have been married since 1988.
LATELY / RECENTLY – We haven’t talked to him lately.
HOW LONG – How long have you shared a room with Fred?
TEXTO IMPRESSO:
THE PROS AND CONS OF BERLIN
I live in Berlin. I’ve been here for two years now. I came to get master’s degree in Eletronic Engineering at the prestigious Umboldt University of Berlin. Things have been tough, however. Although most people are able to speak English, classes are presented in German, so I really had to master the language, which I find pretty difficult. I’ve had some help from some German friends I made. Winter has also been hard to stand. Temperatures go down as low as 15 degrees below zero.
But this is the bad stuff. On the other hand, Berlin is simply great and, diferente from other European cities. It is not so expensive as one may think. There are plenty of nice places to go. Recently, I’ve had some very good time at a cool bar downtown. You’ve got to check it out for yourself to get what I mean.
Exercise:
Did you get it?
- How long has he lived in Berlin?
- Why did he move there?
- Where is he studying to get his Master’s?
- Why have things been tough for him?
- Why did he have to máster German language?
- How long may temperatures in Berlin go down?
- What is his opinion about life in Germany’s capital?
- According to him, what is surprising about living there?
- What is so appealing about living in Berlin?
- Where has he had some very good time lately?
